stay the same

June 30, 2009

I just downloaded this really old song from Joey McIntyre, it’s just a pretty random song that came into my mind, because I was talking to June about people changing… and I was wondering if my love with Ed will ever change.

Anyway, lyrics are here. The song is really nice, if you want it, message me. Old songs are always super meaningful with their lyrics. =x

Baby, this song is for you. I love you, cliche as it sounds, but it is forever.

Stay The Same – Joey McIntyre

Don’t you ever wish
You were someone else
You were meant to be
The way you are exactly

Don’t you ever say
You don’t like the way you are
When you learn to love yourself
You’re better off by far
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change

I think that you could be
Whatever you wanted it to be
If you could realize
All the dreams you have inside
Don’t be afraid
If you’ve got something to say
Just open up your heart
And let it show you the way
Don’t you ever wish
You were someone else
You were meant to be
The way you are exactly
Don’t you ever say
You don’t like the way you are
When you learn to love yourself
You’re better off by far
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change

Believe in yourself
Reach down inside
The love you find will set you free
Believe in yourself
You will come alive
Have faith in what you do
You’ll make it through

You were meant to be
Love yourself
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change
No, there’s nothing
About you I would change
Don’t change

beautiful weekend

Hello!

Saturday was such a great day with Hubby. We met up at 1230, took the train together with his friend from China (Li Nan), chatted quite a fair bit with him before we alighted at City Hall.

Hubby and I wanted to eat at Durty Nelly’s, because we’ve not been there for so long! On top of that, my manager, Ian, promised me a discount if I patronized the restaurant while he’s on shift…

Damn it. He was on the night shift. So much for travelling to MS to have lunch.

I had my favourite Guinness Pie and Ed had the roast beef sandwich. Thumbs up for both! :D Ed ordered a girly drink because he didn’t want to be unhealthy and take alcohol, so he chose a Pussyfoot.

That’s totally gay. :x

For those of you that don’t know what’s a Pussyfoot, it’s basically a mocktail with fruit punch and milk, shaken. It’s considered a very girly drink because it’s baby pink in colour with lots of froth and a cherry-orange combi garnish on top. Haha! But it’s quite nice, sweet and milky. That’s what we girls like. Haa!

After we were done at Durty’s, we headed on to the cinema to buy tickets for Xmen Wolverine. On our way there, we wasted $10 on stupid gaming machines (those that you use to catch toys, $1 per game)… argh! It’s really fun to play those but your cash just disappears really quickly. Takes a lot of self discipline to keep away from those machines, because they really get your adrenaline pumping. Hoho!

While waiting for the movie to start, we went shopping for his field camp’s necessitites in Watsons. He got alcohol swabs, medicated plasters, etc while I got my pocket tissues and dettol wipes. Baby told me his commanders told them that dettol wipes is good for wiping of camo cream, and its medicated, so probably it’ll be good if I used that to remove my makeup as well. Oh well, since Dettol is a brand well reputed for its hygiene, I thought I’d give it a try. :)

The movie Xmen Wolverine is not bad, I would give it a 3.5/5. I prefer Taken, because it’s much more realistic and exciting. :D For those of you who haven’t watched this 2 movies, what are you waiting for? :D

We headed to Cineleisure after the movie to check out this ‘plastic’ bags that were sold by a push cart dealer. It’s made of plastic, woven together to create patterns. It’s really nice and cute, each average about $33. I find it damn sweet. I want to get it but oh well… Baby and I are terribly broke! I can only wait for my pay to come I guess! Must clock more hours before pay day!

We walked from Cine to PS after that… Haven’t walked like that in a long, long while. It was really warm, I was dying to get into airconditioned areas just after 10 minutes of walking. :S

On our way there, we walked past this tailor shop and saw someone familiar inside… my customer! I was like, “Julia?”

Then she went “Yes?” Took her a while to register in her mind who I was. Heh. I found out that Frank (her boyfriend) went back to his country and will only be back in a few months time. I wonder is this considered a … relationship.

Wee~~ The moment we entered PS, I saw that John Little had a sale! I managed to find this dress that is really sweet, its green. Here’s a photo of it.

I find it really cheerful, and plus, I’ve been looking for a green dress in ages! Finally I found something I like, but the cutting isn’t all that good on me. Mum and sis says “IT’S LIKE THAT!!”, so I’ll give myself sometime to adjust to it? Okay lah, I spent only $16 on it, not that taxing on my wallet. :)

I found some aunties looking the same type of dresses in the sale section later on. Gosh, I hope my taste isn’t that auntie after all. Some comments please?

Oh yeah, before I forget, I must commend Ed for making tremendous improvements in the understanding of playing mahjong. He just downloaded this SG MAHJONG game on his Ipod Touch, and it is really fun! All Singapore Mahjong rules apply, so you don’t have to worry that you play till bin che che (face green green) because you don’t know what they’re talking about. All mahjong fanatics, I think this is a game that will keep you company when you have the itching to play but can’t find enough ka… (p/s: if you all need ka, can call me also! :P )

Sunday, which is today, was a nice and slow day. Baby and I wanted to go t church together, but I couldn’t wake up on time, was too tired. Well, he went ahead to church, and I felt so guilty about it. When I woke up, Mum and Dad said that they wanted to go to the COURTS at Bukit Timah (very near Ed Hubby’s house), so I went ahead with them while the hubby was still at church.

We had lunch at Boon Tong Kee together with my parents because my mother wanted to dine with Ed… :) I am really happy because I can sense the rapport building up between my parents and Ed Hubby. In the past, my dad used to scold my ex for holding my hand in front of my parents. Now, my dad and mum can even talk to Ed knowing that he’s holding my hand… this is a small little gesture that means a lot to me and my relationship with Ed. I hope things will continue becoming better. :)

The four of us went on to Jotun (opposite Hubby’s house) to buy stuffs. Mum went to buy 4D (first time buying 4D in Bukit Timah, some more with my Ed’s introduction… haha!) and Hubby went to get his spray paint for his operations kit. Zzz. Seeing him prepare for his book in, I kept thinking of the weekend flying pass so soon, and I just felt a little sad. :(

Anyway, we bidded my parents goodbye and went to his house to le pak around. Being the excellent wifey that I am, I helped Hubby pack his stuff!! He says I’m his 2IC… lol! :X After that we just spent the entire afternoon nua-ing away, with me on the Ipod playing mahjong and him studying for his tests… OCS is just so full of tests. -.- Poor Baby can’t even relax during bookout. What to do… it’s his career after all. :)

I wanted to send him to JP, but thinking of my incompleted FA and LGAs… I thought I should go home and rest a bit before I start doing my homework again. Teary-eyed, I said byebye to Baby at WestMall and went on home.

What a beautiful weekend. God, thank you for letting this happen in our lives… :) We love You (and I’m very sorry for not attending church today, please pardon me :( )

Some photos to wrap up the post!

 muacks!

 I think I look froggish here…

Don’ dig your nose in public! -.-

loves~!

hehe!

Baby and I had a big quarrel today, something that I think I will never forget for as long as I live.

I really hope it doesn’t happen again. I don’t wanna lose you love, I really don’t want to.

ps: thank you baby for coming back.

We went to his grandmother’s place to celebrate her birthday later on in the afternoon. Played with the cute darling Rissa (miniature schnauzer) and she kept kissing me! Such a sweet dog! :)

Chatted quite a fair bit with Baby’s godmother about animals (she’s an animal lover too) and Ah Ma suddenly came from my back and told me:

“Next time you will not call her auntie already, you will have to call her Godma like how Edwin does..”

I’m so shy I didn’t know what to say… I just smiled and said yeah… Baby says his Ah Ma sees me as her future granddaughter-in-law already. :X

For the rest of the night, we spent it watching Channel 8… haha. Boring eh. Nothing to do what.

Baby… I really wish that this will never happen to us again. I’ll try my best… and I hope you’ll keep to your end of the agreement as well.

I love you.

Wee!

Baby’s back from camp! I went to fetch him from SAFTI just now. His dad commented that I’m a good girlfriend and told him to be nice to me. :D

Romeo went for his 3rd jab in the evening. The vet told us that it’s still a little swollen though much better now. We have to go back in 2 weeks time for a urine review again. :(

After we picked Baby up from SAFTI we went back to his home. Romeo was SO happy to see Baby’s family.. he was barking and wagging his tail so vigorously! I think he loves them too :)

OK, I’m going to talk to Baby on the phone now, can’t exactly multi-task. Hehs.

See ya~

Hi people.

It’s my first time using wordpress. I’ve been using blogspot.com for years and thought that it would be nice to do a switch after seeing my darling June’s blog. Haha!

Well, I don’t really know how to use this yet. The layout of the site looks pretty simple and neat… I’ll figure it out soon I guess. I didn’t take a diploma in business INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY for nothing! (OK, in the end I still needed to PrtSc for June to help me find the kitchen sink. :( )

OK.

Anyway, it is a pretty random decision to have a public blog again. I guess most of my friends know what I have a private blog on blogspot, which is just meant for me and Ed’s blogging purposes. But hell, that man doesn’t blog all the time because he’s in camp, so… it’s pretty much just me and me on that. But like I’ve always told everyone, that blog is pretty censored because of our passionate, affectionate, words for each other, sometimes it gets a little too explicit. I don’t want to be the cause for a sore-eye epidemic… as if H5N1 and the new SWINE flu is not enough.

What I’m trying to drive at is that this is my public blog and friends, you can go ahead and read it.

I was late for school today. I just couldn’t persuade my body to get out of bed… from 7.15am, mind battled with body over getting out of bed till 8.05am.

Class starts at 9am. :D

I just returned to The Penny Black to work and I guess I’m still in the process of getting back into the momentum. Juggling between school and work will be difficult, tiring, and it might affect my performance in school, but I feel that life is so much more meaningful this way.

I really love working here. :)

Saw Abraham with his friend (what’s his name again, David?) yesterday afternoon, and he looked so grumpy. Casually I asked him why is he looking so pissed, and he said that he’s feeling stressed up. I guess I have some charm after all, got him to smile in the end. He looks really funny when he’s forced to smile.

I should recommend him the Happiness Kit. The Happiness Kit is simply a wiring device that you wear on your ears, with 2 hooks being inserted into your mouth to draw a smile to your face. Like this:

:)

Gums, teeth; everything wll be exposed. What an effective equipment. I was laughing when I saw that.

Seriously people, lighten up!

I’m gonna see Ed later at night after I bring Romeo to the vet. Hopefully he’ll call me and tell me he’s done when I’m still at the vet, so I can drive to SAFTI to pick him up.

Okay, although its public out here, but I just wanna say…

I miss you love. See you later!
