Wow.
I haven’t been blogging for 2 months. Okay. Anyway no one reads so, well. Not gonna self pity anymore. Haha!
School’s coming to an end. Hallehlujah. Though my school sucks, I will miss my classmates terribly. I have created fond memories with each and everyone of my classmates, whether they like me or not (and vice versa lah, =x)… And I’m gonna miss some people terribly.
Like my groupmates, Lily (best buddy), Peifang (Penny, always turns up for school no matter rain or shine, well or unwell), and my 3oh3 Nadia… thanks for being wonderful groupmates! We work really well together and I love the way we accomodate each other’s stupidity while at work. =x
My seniors in class like Choke Seng, Diana, Christina… thanks for giving me so much advice and insights into life.
My sister in Christ, Jayne… thanks for being a dear sister and for listening to me. Love you, and stop smoking and start going back for service, okay? =)
The big brothers and sisters like Cat, and Andrew (the childish freak), Benjamin… you guys are so cool, the bridge between the kids and the seniors. Will miss the lunch dates with you guys, especially Cat.
the f4 group… freesia and her good mornings… Soleha(the future pattissier), Sophia (air stewardess), Haizzel, Renuka, Ruthra, Khairah… thanks for adding the interesting bits in class. I will remember Haizzel and Choke Seng’s “my man” relationship. Haha!
As we sing Auld Lang Sye, let’s hope we will not forget that we once crossed paths with one another. We will drift apart, but I will not forget all of you, definitely. Thanks for the memories. =)
Ahh. Let’s move on.
The past 3 weeks has been tormenting for me, going for job interviews and getting rejected, the cycle just kept repeating. And it was worse because my school didn’t help much in the so-called job placement thingy. So much feud between me and the staff, they only recommended me 1 hotel opening when they got my friends like 4.
Anyway, I managed to get a job on my own accord. Passed all my interviews for the position of Front Office Agent in Meritus Mandarin Singapore. WOO! Waiting for the confirmation call from HR…
) But the front office manager (my future manager, Ben) has assured me that I got the job because the GM has already agreed to employ me. So, just wait lor! Hehe.
Though its not a really fantastically high paying job, I am really happy that I managed to secure a job on my own. This is the first time I got through an interview without any connections or anything. Heh. What makes me even happier is that I finally got my birthday present from God – a direction in my life. I should be working on my 21st birthday, but it’s fine. I’m really happy that at least I have secured a job in a good hotel, something that I wanted ever since I was in poly… I’m sure I will be able to learn a lot and I’m looking forward to experiencing all sorts of odd shifts and interesting people!
I can’t wait!
But there’s one worrying thing on my mind though – not being able to send Baby off at the airport when he leaves for Taiwan on October 7th. I really hope I can send him off, perhaps arrange to work morning shift. I really want to be there to see him… 3 long weeks. I must be strong for him. =) I love you hubby… muacks!
the upcoming weekend will be pretty short for me and baby as he will only be booking out on sat late afternoon. Sigh…
looking forward to the new phase of my life of becoming a MERITUS AMBASSADOR! WOOO!!
Lastly, thank You Father, for making this 9 months a wonderful one. Thank You for answering to my prayers and for presenting me such a wonderful gift for my birthday. I’m sorry if I doubted you during the past few weeks and I seek your forgiveness. Thank You Father…
Amen!

I miss all of you. No matter what has happened in the past… I still look back and wished that nothing has happened and everything was the same.
cold emailing?
July 22, 2009
Have you guys heard of cold calling before? Betcha have, right?
Then do you know what’s cold emailing?
Well, let me enlighten you. Cold emailing is a process of sending job applications through emails to potential employers, only to have them not replying you even though you meet all qualifications.
Oh well oh well, the definition’s set by me.
I’m sounding like a sour grape, am I?
But it’s really sad to say that in this current economy, I’m not the only one faced with cold emailing situations. Many people are. So I wonder, what’s the problem with these employers? Is it a problem with us, or with them?
I wish I knew.
Anyway, today’s my 3rd day of cold emailing, so far I’ve went for 1 job interview (waiting for 2nd round, if I get in). I’ve sent a total of 9 emails so far, only 1 responded. How nice. But I guess it’s better than none.
WDA wants us to get into the tourism industry and stay there for at least 6 months after we graduate.
When we joined the school, they promised us AT LEAST – supervisory roles, with the diploma that we would obtain.
But now, they’re referring us to jobs such as F&B service crew? What the…?
Get this clear. I’m not going to have 2 diplomas and go work as a waitress after I graduate. I’m not saying having 2 diplomas is a big f***, but I don’t have all the time in the world to fool around; all of us don’t. Personally, I need a job which offers me career progression in a specialized field.
And I need a job that pays me decently well.
I’ll try my best to find a job within the industry. But if all else fails… don’t ask me to fork out 7k for being desperate.
Father, show me the way.

Did an online quiz on the above subject matter. =) Results…
This guy’s for keeps!
You’ve found yourself a wonderful man who’s deeply in love with you and it shows — he showers you with surprises during special occasions, makes sure you don’t feel left out at his company’s party, offers a listening ear when you’re feeling down, and looks after you when you’re unwell.
Ello people~

I’m finally back from Genting! =D
Ok lah, not finally. I came back for quite a few days already.
All in all, it was very fun, good food, good theme park, ok shopping, beautiful weather which got my lips cracking like crazy, and excellent company. =D I think the funniest thing that happened was seeing Freesia lost in that bumper boat, not knowing how to navigate, hearing Jayne scream while she was in the Pirates’ Train (-.-”") and saliva flying out of my mouth while I was screaming on the Corkscrew during the 360 turn. HAHAHAHA! =x
Random: for photos, please visit my facebook. =D
I wanna go there again soon! After my 21st, so I can enter the casino. Muahahahaha! I got kicked out this time round, but I guess my money was still well spent. =D
Talking about 21st, I managed to convince my dad to get me the IPhone 3GS. Yay! Well, it’s not that I am an Apple fan, but my phones are all pretty much screwed (I got 3 Sony Ericssons in total), and I’ve been using them for a pretty long time. So time to get a new one! Hehehe.
October 5th, come soon! =D
Today started off pretty grumpily as I have a real b*tch for a trainer for the current module that I am taking. Was looking forward to 1pm so I could meet Baby after his visit to the polyclinic.
I took my blood test today to check if I can consume Nimegen, a drug that is used to control acne. The doctor and Hubby were really funny just now. As it was my first time taking a blood test, I felt very apprehensive and I was grabbing Hubby’s palm so tightly. Hubby and the doc started chatting about our dinner venue, and the convo went like this.
Ed: “You remember where we eating tonight hmmm?”
Me: “Bukit timah…”
Doctor: “OOO Bukit timah WHERE?”
Ed *catches the wint that DR is going to insert needle* : “Reunion, reunion!”
Doctor: “REUNION? Where is THAT…?”
Ed: “It’s near my place actually, yeah yeah, you know…”
Doctor: “Oh yes, hmmm.. ahhh.. okay…” *hints Ed that it’s going to be over soon*
Me: “I’m feeling weak…”
Ed: “It’s gonna be over soon baby…”
Doctor: “OK done!”
I turned around to see Dr Ng holding one syringeful of blood in his hands… instantly I felt jelly. Gosh. Later on he transferred the blood into a tube then I touched it. I went “EEE IT’S WARM!” Baby was giving me the -.-”"”"”"”"” face. Haha. My first time what… please pardon me. XD
My medication.
What the hell?
Went to Food Republic and had our favourite Mala Yu mian (yummy!) and shopped around for my Estee Lauder foundation. I wanted to get the lighter colour, but in the end, my original colour suited me better – Warm honey. Arghh… means I didn’t turn fairer.
MADE IN JAPAN~
My favourite cosmetic brand! XD
Hmm. We went to Isetan to get my favourite strawberry whipped cream sandwich and after that, we went to Hubby’s home to chill out and sleep for a while.
Met my family at Reunion (Bukit Timah CC) for dinner at 630. I quite like the environment, because its airconditioned and pretty quiet. The food is not bad too, we had black pepper crabs, yam ring, sambal kangkong, marmite chicken, HK pork ribs… it was a total of $130. =x Thanks Hubby for the treat.. =D I’m sure my parents love you to bits now. Hehe. Not that my parents are money minded, but I’m sure they won’t want a stingy son-in-law… if he is stingy to my parents, they can be sure that he’ll be stingy to me too. Haha. =D
Dad dropped me and Baby off at WestMall after dinner where we shopped around a little. Bumped into Matt and his ‘target’, and continued our shopping. I wanted very badly for a long time to get a book on Christian faith from Precious Thots… and today I finally got it. It’s titled “I’m Not Good Enough”… and Other Lies Women Tell Themselves. I think it suits me because I don’t have good self esteem. =x It includes a Bible study guide which Jayne was asking me to have, because it’ll help me learn more about Christ. Anyway I’m really glad I got it. Hehe. I got 2 bookmarks too, one for the book and one for my Bible. Thinking of getting a bigger Bible so it’s easier to read. Suggestions?
My new bookie~
My first set of bookmarks in more than a decade. =D Aren’t they sweet?
Anyway, I gotta stop blogging here. Baby’s waiting to call me. Hehe. Muacks!
stay the same
June 30, 2009
I just downloaded this really old song from Joey McIntyre, it’s just a pretty random song that came into my mind, because I was talking to June about people changing… and I was wondering if my love with Ed will ever change.
Anyway, lyrics are here. The song is really nice, if you want it, message me. Old songs are always super meaningful with their lyrics. =x
Baby, this song is for you. I love you, cliche as it sounds, but it is forever.
Stay The Same – Joey McIntyre
Don’t you ever wish
You were someone else
You were meant to be
The way you are exactly
Don’t you ever say
You don’t like the way you are
When you learn to love yourself
You’re better off by far
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change
I think that you could be
Whatever you wanted it to be
If you could realize
All the dreams you have inside
Don’t be afraid
If you’ve got something to say
Just open up your heart
And let it show you the way
Don’t you ever wish
You were someone else
You were meant to be
The way you are exactly
Don’t you ever say
You don’t like the way you are
When you learn to love yourself
You’re better off by far
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change
Believe in yourself
Reach down inside
The love you find will set you free
Believe in yourself
You will come alive
Have faith in what you do
You’ll make it through
You were meant to be
Love yourself
And I hope you always
Stay the same
‘Cause there’s nothing
About you I would change
No, there’s nothing
About you I would change
Don’t change
brunei…and genting.
June 28, 2009
Hey all…
Just sent my Hubby off at Changi Airport. He’s going to Brunei for the Jungle Orientation Training (JOT) for approximately 10 days. Well, I hope this 10 days will fly pass really quickly, it should, with work, tests, and the upcoming Genting trip (hip hip HURRAY)
Haha, Baby should be on the flight now since he stopped messaging me altogether. I guess he’s kinda excited cos he hasn’t been out of the country for quite some years already. =x I gave him homework to do on the flight and that is to ogle at the SIA girls. I’m so nice right?
Actually he’s my scout to gather information so that I can prepare myself more for future cabin crew interviews. =x
Anyway, I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE GENTING TRIP! In total, we have Jayne, Joanna, Bel, Freesia, Lily and me! I’ll be bunking in with Lily, hehehehe, and I think the 6 of us are gonna have hell of fun at the amusement park, casino (if I can get in, still scheming to get in), and food! =D I already koped Baby’s Ipod touch to entertain me with manhjong on my way to Genting! Gosh, it’ll be so fucking fun man… my first time out with friends ONLY! Wee!
I’ll be back on a Thursday evening. By then Hubby will be back too. Yay!!
I’m waiting to hear from you darling… call me when you touch down okay? Love ya soo much. Muacks! Have a safe trip! =D
Happy 20th Birthday June!
June 17, 2009
Before the clock hits 12, let me post this.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNE DARLING!!!
Stay pretty, young, cute, and inquisitive like always! =D May God bless you with a smooth journey in university, and an ever lasting relationship with your Mr. Goh! =D
PS: So sorry about the cock up… I’m not gonna give excuses for myself other than it slipping past my mind. =( Don’t give me demerit points okay. =((
Love ya girlfriend! See ya soon! =D
Hubby’s 21st Birthday =) 150609
June 17, 2009
Hello!!
It’s been a while since I written in here. =D Well, that’s because I’ve been busy celebrating Hubby’s birthday for him over the weekend!
HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY BABY! MUACKS!!!
I made for him this cranes-thingy, with 21 cranes for each colour… I don’t know if Baby will find that useful or not (probably not), but that’s just like a form of my prayers for him. Made a raspberry cheesecake too, well, I guess it didn’t taste that bad. =x Ooo, we shared the cost of getting a wii too! =D
I still feel kinda guilty, like I didn’t do much for his birthday, esp when it’s his 21st. Baby, do forgive me if it’s a flop okay… =( I suck at planning birthdays. I love you so much baby… Muacks. =D
Pictures!
Da cake~ Just in case you’re wondering why it looks like this, this is the non-baked cheesecake. =D I’ll learn to make the baked cheesecake soon. Hehe.
He looks so adorable here. <3
Wee~ Hunk and Beauty (okay I know a lot of people puking now….)
With his family. =)
for the week ending Jun 12 2009
June 11, 2009
Does the title sound familiar?
For those who took accounting before, this would probably sound really close to the heart for you. P&L, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow analysis, all these makes use of this heading: for the month/year ended, or the as at XXX.
Right… for the week ending, well because I realized that I haven’t been blogging, so let me just write about my week.
Basically this week flew past really quickly, it’s already 40 minutes to Friday. Significant events in the week were:
1. Meeting up June, Melvin and Wayne for MJ at Junie’s home
2. Working (Wednesday was a total slam)
3. Missing school yesterday =x
Well, that’s about it. I met Han Ming at PB on Wednesday, he came down with his friend. Well, I’m surprised he still remember me… hmmm. We didn’t get to catch up much, because it was soooo busy (like a Friday night), and we had some difficult people here and there. Plus, he was engrossed in his conversation with his Indian mate, so, I guess it’s till we meet again then!
Had some interesting encounters with 3 French customers towards the end of my shift. I guess I made them quite happy and laughing away at my terrible French (stupid me told them that I studied French before, got tested by them and was of course, stumped), that they asked me out for dinner. Well, not really me to go out with customers after work, although there was just that once, but nah.
MJ with June and gang was really fun! It was like everyone’s first time playing with each other, so it was really hilarious. June, you know what you did lah… hahaha! We were like poking fun at the guys for being late and us having to set up the table and MJ all by ourselves (actually I didn’t help much =x) and cursing them to lose because of that. In the end, Wayne won like how many rounds of man tai? And I am the one that gave him the winning tile! Suay right? I was actually winning, but because of that, haiiii. Melvin lost the most, about 37, and I lost 17.
I was kidding with them, saying that I don’t have money to take train home, yada yada, and I put 20 bucks on the table and went to the toilet. When I came back, Junie gave me the change and I wanted to give it to Wayne, and he was like “No need lah no need! I don’t have loose change to give you, never mind 10 enough…” Melvin said that Wayne is taking pity on me so he just take 10. -.-”"”"”"”
Anyway, that afternoon was filled with so much laughter. More of such sessions please! And Junie, we’re supposed to go makan and shopping together soon. =D
Lassstly, Baby’s finally back from field camp, AGAIN. He got rashes again, tomorrow he’s gonna see the MO. Hope it’s nothing serious… =(((( And I’ll be seeing Hubby tomorrrrroooww after work! Hip hip hooray!
On a random last note, I miss eating the chicken drumlets at June’s house. OK, gonna bug her for the brand now and wait for Baby’s call. Have a good weekend everyone! =D
